The International Youth Movements for Human Rights (IYMHR) is a non-profit organization striving to improve the human rights situation in Vietnam, which has been severely violated by the Vietnamese Communist Government. IYMHR also promotes and supports activities that bring about equality, humanity, and human rights all around the world.
Founded in 2016 by human rights activist Teresa Tran and her friends in an attempt to raise human rights awareness amongst the youth communities around the globe, IYMHR advocates for freedom, democracy, and human rights in the countries where these three essential pillars are non-existent.
As a result, the IYMHR has created this website to preserve important information and valuable documents, as part of a greater plan to promote global human rights. The main mission of this project is to connect all human rights activists around the world.
Currently, only several remaining countries in the world, including Vietnam, are still governed by the dictatorship, authoritarian communist regime, with the toxic ideology of communism preventing the development and progress of human rights activities. These governments do not value the basic rights of their citizens, thus causing endless sufferings to their citizens.
This IYMR website will be a strong bridge connecting all youths around the world, particularly the Vietnamese youths, to have a voice for the voiceless, and to promote equality and human rights for those who don’t have. This website will be an extension tool to promote the basic human rights valued by theUnited Nations. Through this project, we will bring many effective programs and promotional tools to all youths, so that they will be able to take appropriate and impactful actions for actualizing a world of freedom, democracy, and human rights.
“Hopefully, this IYMHR website will be a strong bridge connecting all youths around the world, particularly the Vietnamese youths, to have a voice for the voiceless, and to promote equality and human rights for those who don’t have.“
The roles of youths are becoming more notable internationally in all fields, from protecting global environment (which is a heritage for all generations) to social, political, human rights activism, including cultural, IT, and striving for a world of freedom and democracy. Freedom movements from China (taken place three decades ago to the current global environment activism led by a young lady named Greta Thunberg); Hong Kong, Thailand, to Belarus were all led by youths striving for freedom and democracy – for which the dictatorship governments in these countries have always owned. Also many youths in many other countries are quietly fighting for the exact same rights – the rights to freedom and democracy.
We hope to receive the involvement and support from all youths, especially the those living in Vietnam who are in need of encouragement and mentorship. Please get in touch with us!
The IYHMR is extremely grateful to our mentors, members, supporters, and all youths for being with us through all the ups and downs in the past four years. We are looking forward to receiving more members and supporters in order to achieve our ultimate vision: to create a world of equality, humanity, and respect.
Thank you for your passion and support for this common vision. We wish you all peace, encouragement and compassion for contributing towards building the world a better place through human rights front. We cannot remain silence for the acts and ideology that erode the very foundation of humanity. This world NEEDS us! Our country NEEDS us! We all need each other to make the world a better place.
Together, we can achieve much more for our common goals.
